Sustainability Report 2024
Infantium Victoria Sustainability Highlights 2024
Celebrating 10 Years of Sustainable Children's Fashion
At Infantium Victoria, sustainability is more than a promise—it's our guiding principle. Over the past decade, we've dedicated ourselves to creating stylish, ethical, and eco-friendly children's fashion that nurtures a healthier planet for future generations. Our journey is guided by transparency with care, holding ourselves accountable for continuous improvement.
Sustainability Pillars at Infantium Victoria
1. People: Empowerment and Fairness
From our inception, we've prioritized fairness and empowerment:
- Living Wages: We've consistently paid our direct employees living wages. Moving forward, we aim to close wage gaps throughout our supply chain by collaborating more closely with subcontractors.
- Supporting Women: We began by partnering with women-led businesses and continue to ensure subcontractors respect gender equality. Future initiatives will include structured collaborations and improved gender equality mapping.
- Education & Internships: We've consistently offered tailored internships and educational talks. Upcoming goals include launching an Infantium Victoria Scholarship to support students pursuing sustainable fashion.
2. Planet: Protecting Our Environment
We actively work to reduce our environmental footprint:
- Reducing Emissions: While we currently offset some emissions, our goal is achieving comprehensive carbon-neutral travel and systematically tracking emissions.
- Material Responsibility: We've successfully adopted zero-waste design practices but aim to increase collaborations to repurpose textile waste more effectively.
- Plastic-Free Commitment: We have significantly reduced plastic packaging. Moving forward, we plan to fully eliminate plastic from all aspects of packaging and shipments.
3. Product: Ethical and Sustainable Fashion
- Sustainable Fabrics: We've consistently prioritized organic textiles. Next, we aim to source at least 80% of materials from certified organic or regenerative cotton suppliers.
- Circular Economy: Our Preloved Program has been successful, but we plan to expand and introduce a global take-back initiative.
- Repair and Longevity: We've encouraged garment repairs through education and intend to establish professional repair partnerships to further facilitate this.
3. Prosperity: Ethical and Resilient Business
Ensuring sustainability includes financial resilience:
- Transparent Pricing: We occasionally shared transparent pricing details. Our goal is to expand transparency efforts, clearly communicating garment cost breakdowns.
- Resilience Planning: Moving ahead, we'll enhance our resilience by maintaining emergency funds and conducting detailed risk assessments to ensure long-term stability.
Transparency with Care
Transparency alone isn't enough; it must be coupled with active care and responsibility. We continue evolving our practices to ensure meaningful impact.
