Harnessing the Power of the Sun and Clean Energy
At the Green Factory, solar panels supply 50-60% of the energy requirements. The remaining energy comes from non-polluting pipelined natural gas gensets, minimizing the factory's carbon footprint. The factory's commitment to clean energy was worth the 9-month wait to install the pipelines.

A Water Positive Factory: Recycling and Reusing Water
The Green Factory is proud to be a water positive facility, achieving 100% water recycling through the following methods:
- Effluent Treatment Plant: Separates soap and detergents from water used in wash processes, recycling the water for lavatory purposes.
- Rain Water Harvesting: Pits along the factory's borders/sides recharge groundwater, while panels on the third floor collect rainwater for reuse.
- Reverse Osmosis Water Treatment Plant: Filters out contaminants and recycles water, with a capacity of 1,000 liters per hour.
- Sensor Water Taps: Reduce water usage in toilets by spraying water instead of a continuous flow.

Innovative Electric Grid System and Eco-Friendly Batteries
The Green Factory's fully automated electric grid system eliminates the need for human intervention. In case of power cuts, the factory relies on solar power, and if necessary, a Lithium Ion Battery Pack - the most environmentally friendly battery energy source available.

A Clean, Healthy Workspace for Workers
To protect workers' health, a vacuum system installed beneath the factory's basement immediately sucks up dust and fluff from knitting machines. This investment ensures a clean environment and reduces workers' exposure to airborne contaminants.

A Serene and Green Workspace
The Green Factory's unique design includes an Atrium/Garden in the basement, providing workers with a peaceful, green view to enjoy during breaks. Additionally, the architectural design allows sunlight to enter through all-around glass panels, reducing the need for artificial lighting and further minimizing energy consumption.

Efficient Temperature Control and Noise Reduction
The Green Factory employs several methods to control temperature and noise levels, including:
- Thermotech Tiles: High albedo finish tiles keep the factory 6-8°C cooler during hot months, reducing the need for air conditioning.
- Double Glass Panels: These insulate the factory, keeping it cool in the summer and reducing noise pollution from outside.

Fair Wages and Improved Quality of Life for Workers
The Green Factory pays its workers living wages and is currently revising its survey report to ensure continued fair compensation. Through this year's Fairtrade Premium, workers received refrigerators, inverters, and water purifiers, as chosen by the workers themselves.
